Empowering students as they advance through education into the working world.
Pioneer Tomorrow is a trailblazing programme offering young teenagers (school years 9 ‐11) personalised life skills, career coaching and mentoring. Designed to enable students to reach their full potential. Through a full term, 6 ‐ week programme, Pioneer Tomorrow will provide young people with the tools to make informed career choices, develop excellent interpersonal and social skills and navigate the most important period in their school life as they make the transition into further education or the workplace.
Pioneer Tomorrow is focused on informing students in the following areas:
Communication skills
Confidence boosting
Conflict resolution
Financial responsibility
Career aspirations
The sessions are a combination of interactive and theoretical workshops aimed at keeping the young pioneers engaged. In doing this, we aim to improve the student’s confidence and resilience, as well as enabling students to be more aspirational and prepared for making informed financial decisions.
Ideally, our programme will be carried out face to face with the young people in school. However, due to the ongoing Covid ‐19 restrictions, we are able to adapt our programme to be available via remote platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zooms or Google Classrooms/hangouts) in the interim and as necessary.
We believe students are often unsure of the best path to choose. Pioneer Tomorrow will aim to assist them to explore all career options regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or social standing. We are passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation and are seeking to use our own lived experiences to enact a positive change.
This service is crucial during this current time, given the effect of the Covid ‐19 pandemic, and the immense impact this has had on students and their education. Our programme will empower students as they advance through their education and into the working world. This will be measured and demonstrated through their social interactions and personal conduct and give them the confidence to take on new challenges as they develop their skill set. We will aim to give students a fully informed perspective of the different roles within the workplace, and the whole world of wider career options. We want to be able to show that there may be wider roles to consider within an industry that they are interested in and in doing so, encouraging students to think about what they enjoy, and being able to turn that into a viable career option.

Next Steps…
We will build a relationship network with multi‐faceted organisations who are able to offer our students: career days, internships, or work placements.
We will work with these organisations to be able to give the students experience of the range of roles they have within their company. The Pioneer Tomorrow team have acted as mentors within their own workplace schemes offering students support throughout their time with the company, and so have first‐hand experience of the benefit this provides to young people.
Do you want to help inspire the next generation?
We are always looking for businesses to offer work experience to our students.
